Shipping Dangerous Goods by FedEx
Federal Express recognizes only one standard for shipments of dangerous goods be it by ground or air: the International Air Transporter's Association (IATA) dangerous goods regulations. There are very specific packaging and documentation requirements. Each shipment is inspected before acceptance and may be rejected if not properly prepared causing delays and loss of business. Several products exempted under the surface regulations are fully regulated when shipped by FedEx. Small aerosol cans and even perfume fall under these requirements.
